Cacao is a tree native to Central America and northern South America and is a member of the mallow family. Based on pottery fragments from approximately 1000 BCE, it is believed that cacao originated in the Amazon River Basin and was taken north by either the Olmec or the Maya people. Cacao is a potent antioxidant, repairing damage caused by free radicals. It also has one of the highest concentrations of magnesium in a natural food source. Magnesium has many functions in the body. It helps fat metabolize, energy production and repairs, and maintains cells. It is also the highest plant-based source of iron. Cacao contains sulphur, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, and manganese, all essential for many body functions. It can improve your mood and is an aphrodisiac!

Suggested Use: For beans, eat a few at a time! Brew as a tea by adding 1 Tablespoon in a cup of boiling water. Steep for 5-10 mins. Enjoy! *Increase dosage if needed.
